„Most of the time I forget that I’m carrying a backpack. Besides: where there’s no frame, there’s no way it can scratch you!“

„Despite its light weight, it sits very comfortably on the back. The padded hip belt is comfortable and the backpack is also the right size for me in terms of volume.“

„The 12 kg (too much food and water) could be carried easily and comfortably. For my height of 1.64 m and a weight of 50 kg, the hip belt is adjustable enough.“

„It sits well on the hip and is barely noticeable. Even with a lot of weight and volume (8 kg), it is easy to carry.“

„As a 1.70 m tall woman, the M-size backpack sits much more comfortably on my hips and back than my previous women’s hiking backpack with a frame.“

Size in 10 seconds

Which size fits you?

The length of the back determines the Agilist choice, not whether it is a woman's or a man's outfit. Your height is the first point of reference.

Our recommendation

Size S · Small

Size S has the shorter back length for body sizes up to 168 cm. You can also adjust the waist belt and chest strap to fit you.

More specifically, it is measured by the length from the seventh cervical vertebra to the top edge of the pelvic bone. This is how you measure it

Three factors that determine fit

Whether a backpack fits depends on your shoulders, chest, and hips. Here you choose the Agilist one that fits you best.

Woman wearing the Agilist 2026 model: The S-shaped shoulder straps run laterally around the chest, the chest strap sits above them

S-shaped shoulder straps

The straps run laterally around the chest instead of directly over it. This prevents any pressure or chafing, even after many hours of wear.

Wanderer with the Agilist: The padded hip belt sits tightly fastened, the protruding strap hangs loosely, the hand rests on the shoulder strap

Waist belt from 69 cm

The padded hip belt carries most of the weight and can be adjusted from 69 to 156 cm waist circumference. It also fits tightly on a narrow waist.

Chest strap and load lifter

You adjust the chest strap infinitely to your shoulder width; the Load Lifter pulls the load close to your back. You reach the drinking bottle while walking.

Why there is no need for a dedicated women's model

A women's backpack is especially shorter in the back and narrower to adjust. That's exactly what the Agilist: size S has for short back lengths, S-shaped straps and a hip belt that already sits at 69 cm. You get the full equipment for that, without any compromises.

Personal advice

Not sure about the size? Ask me.

My name is Alex and I developed this Agilist in Emmendingen. Write me your height, your back length and where you would like to go. I will honestly tell you which size suits you.

„As a petite woman, I didn’t want to order anything that I didn’t know if the hip belt could be adjusted tight enough.“
Julia She asked a quick question before her tour on the Kungsleden. How she got on with it is shown in the reviews above.

Frequently asked questions from female hikers

Does a unisex backpack fit a woman's body?

Yes. The S-shaped shoulder straps run around the chest instead of over it; you can adjust the chest strap smoothly, and the hip strap can be adjusted firmly at a hip circumference of 69 cm. There is a size S for shorter backs.

I am 1.65 m tall. Which size should I choose?

For those who are up to 168 cm, we recommend size S. If you are close to the limit, you may be missing your back length: size S is 40 to 43 cm, size M is 43 to 53 cm. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Does a backpack without a frame feel comfortable?

Yes, up to 13 kg. The fixed back pad and a well-packed main compartment give it Agilist its shape; the weight is distributed over the padded hip belt on the pelvis. Sabine carried 12 kg on the Westweg for twelve days.

I have a very narrow waist. Will the hip belt hold?

The hip belt can be fastened securely at a hip circumference of 69 cm. If you are unsure, Write me your measurements briefly, Then we will resolve this before placing the order.

What happens if he doesn't suit me?

You have 14 days from receipt to try on and pack your gear at home. It is expressly recommended to do so: Pack your gear, put on your hip belt, shoulder straps and chest strap, and run a few laps around the apartment or up and down the stairs. You should not take it on tour yet at this time, so that it remains in its original condition. If it doesn’t fit, report the return on the Return page Yes. The DHL return label will be sent via email; we will cover the postage. After receipt, we will refund the amount to your original payment method. If you are unsure about the size beforehand, write to me, Then we'll find her together.
